In 2012 Polish Semiotic Society started the project "Studia Semiotyczne - English Supplement". Its main aim was to prepare the English version of the most of the material published in Studia Semiotyczne since 1970. The project gained a support of Polish Ministry of Higher Education*.
After the initial selection of the papers done by Jerzy Pelc, the editor-in-chief of Studia Semiotyczne, the project has been managed by Katarzyna Kuś and Krystyna Komorowska with the help of a team of translators, proofreaders and typesetters.
The first part of the project was completed in 2015. The result is the open-access journal publication containing nearly 200 papers that may be of interest for philosophers, linguists, logicians, literary theorists, psychologists and all persons interested in the general theory of signs.
